WHAT IS SURF SELECT?

The Surf Select program brings together the most talented players and coaches from all of Surf Nation to compete together under the Surf banner at the highest levels. Through a series of regional and national events, players, will be selected to represent Surf in regional, national and international competitions.

Due to the League Game Commitments, South Texas Surf Players are not able to attend the Dallas Surf Surf Select ID Camp (9/30-10/1). The Surf Select Frontier Director will be in town on Sunday, Sept 24 to evaluate all South Texas Surf Players with South Texas Surf Coaching Staff.

Surf Select Frontier Regional Teams

Surf Select Regional Team: This level unites the ‘best of the best’ players from Surf soccer clubs in a designated region. The Frontier Region, comprising Surf affiliate clubs from Dallas, El Paso, and South Texas, will blend the players from all of our region into the Surf Select Frontier Regional teams. Players chosen for these teams will compete in two special regional tournaments, supplementing their club soccer involvement. We will have teams at every age group from U11 to U19 for both boys and girls. Some age groups will have multiple teams. Regional teams will participate in the following tournaments.

SURF SELECT NATIONAL PROGRAM

After a number of local, regional and national ID events, the Surf Select Program has been in full swing with 32 teams traveling all across the world for some of the best youth soccer events. Highlights of the season so far: Girls 2009 Blue crowned champions of Super Cup NI, Girls 2006 Blue crowned champions of the Surf Cup Olders and Girls 2009 Blue crowned champions of the Foyle Cup.

Other teams, formed by players across 55 Surf Nation clubs, have traveled to: Easter Cup International (Orlando, Fl), Surf Cup (San Diego, Ca), USA Cup (Blaine, Mn), Premier Super Copa (Bradentona, Fl), BH Cup (Belo Horizonte, Brazil), Valencia Cup (Valencia, Spain), Royal Pre Season Cup (Reading, England), Surf Cup International (Barcelona, Spain)
