Little Surfers

Little Surfers Program

There are NO TRYOUTS for this age group as it is an open registration program.
Program is a seasonal (8-10 weeks).
Requires registration for each season (Fall and Spring).

BOYS & GIRLS - Ages 4-7

Birth Years: 2016-2020
$350 per season (Save $50 if you register by July 31, 2023!)

Our Little Surfers program focuses on teaching soccer skills in a fun, educational, and non-competitive environment. It's an ideal introduction for kids who are new to the sport.

Using an age-specific curriculum, soccer is used as a tool to encourage the development of self-confidence, teamwork, and other skills. With low coach-to-player ratios and plenty of positive reinforcement, every child can learn at their own pace while having a great time!

This program will enable your child to:

Learn while having fun and being creative
Develop a passion for soccer
Acquire fundamental movement and motor skills
Introduce and develop basic ball-handling abilities

TRAINING, LEAGUE PLAY & TOURNAMENTS

Training (Flexible Training Schedule)
Little Surfers will have one training session per week, and if a player misses their session, they can attend another session on a different day if it's available. Players are also welcome to train as much as they like. The STX Surf Little Surfers program is designed with flexibility in mind to accommodate families' schedules.

Fall Season: September 5 - November 17, 2023
Spring Season: February 5 - April 26, 2024

League Play
This program's league games take place on Saturdays and sometimes Sundays. Games are both home and away with limited travel within the San Antonio Metro Area, and no standings are kept for league play. Players have the opportunity to play on multiple teams and can play in a maximum of two games per day.

Fall Season: September 2023 - November 2023
Spring Season: February 2024 - April 2024

Tournaments
Participating in tournaments is not mandatory and requires an additional expense. Tournaments are usually held at the beginning and end of each season and are typically hosted within the local area. While traveling for tournaments is uncommon for this age group, it may still happen on occasion.
